Discontinuance of OTC-JPY / OTC-USD

As we are enhancing our remittance systems to bring to you better services, faster and more convenient, including 24/7 services, we would like to inform you that we will be no longer be able to accept your remittances for Over the Counter (OTC) payments in Japanese Yen or US Dollars to your beneficiaries in the Philippines beginning January 2019.

We encourage you to have your beneficiaries open a Japanese Yen or US Dollar Savings Account at Metrobank branches in the Philippines to enable them to continue receiving your remittances in Japanese Yen or US Dollar respectively.

In addition, you may also register them as beneficiaries of Cash Pick Up Anywhere Service so that they may receive remittances in Philippine Peso even on weekends and specified holidays.

Metrobank’s 24/7 remittance services is our latest innovation in processing your remittances to Philippine Peso Accounts or Cash Pick Up Anywhere with charges for as low as JPY 750 and higher rates for as much as +.0030 to the regular rate. This is available only to registered beneficiaries of EPRC (Easy Postal Remit Card), METS (Metrobank Easy Transfer Service) or QP ( SMBC Quick Padala Service).
