We are consolidating our Osaka sub-branch with the Tokyo branch to better serve our customers. This strategic move allows us to optimize resources, enhance operational efficiency, and invest in improved digital banking services. The decision is based on a thorough analysis of customer usage patterns and long-term goals. - When is the effective date of the consolidation?
The consolidation will take effect on February 27, 2026 - Can I still send remittances after my branch closes?
Yes. Remittance services will continue without interruption. Your selected remittance service will remain available 24/7 through the following channels:- METS (SMBC / MUFG / RESONA)
- EPRC (JP Bank)
- Will my remittance registration or reference number change?
No. Your remittance registration details, reference numbers, and transaction history will remain unchanged. No action is required on your part. - What if I used to send remittances or transact banking services in person?
You may now visit the Metrobank Tokyo branch for in-person remittance services and other banking needs. Our staff will assist you using the same procedures you are familiar with. Should any changes occur in the future, we will notify you in advance. - Are there any changes to remittance fees, procedures, or policies on limits?
No. All fees, procedures, and policies on transaction limits remain unchanged due to the consolidation. Any future updates will be communicated in advance. - How can I track my remittance after the branch closure?

All pending transactions will be processed as usual. For assistance, please contact our support team or visit the Tokyo branch. - What will happen to the savings account I opened with Metrobank Osaka?
It will remain open/active if you are making a regular deposit. - Can I continue to save in my savings account opened at Metrobank Osaka?
Yes. You may continue to send your deposit to your savings account via remittance without interruption.

- What will happen to the customers in Metrobank Osaka and neighboring places if they want to open a savings account?
Savings account opening will be moved from Metrobank Osaka to Metrobank Tokyo and will depend on the availability. As before, no walk-ins will be accepted.
